How does a flushing porta potty work?
A flushing porta potty uses a foot pump that rinses the bowl with blue-tinted water from a separate fresh-water tank, about 18 to 20 gallons. The sink runs from its own fresh-water supply with a second foot pump. No hose or outlet is needed, so the unit works anywhere a standard unit fits.
How many guests can a flushing porta potty handle?
A deluxe flushing porta potty handles about 50 guests for a 4-hour event, similar to a standard unit. The flush tank holds a limited number of flushes, so events over 100 guests need more units rather than one heavily used unit. Large crowds are better served by a restroom trailer.

Is a flushing unit good for job sites?
A flushing unit is rarely the best job site choice. Dust, mud and heavy use empty the fresh-water tank fast, and refills add cost. Most crews use standard units plus a hand washing station. Office trailers and long-term managers' units are the exception.

Questions about deluxe flushing porta potty
Does the deluxe unit need a water hookup?
The deluxe unit needs no hookup. Fresh water for the flush and the sink travels in the unit's own tanks.
Is it the same size as a standard porta potty?
The deluxe unit is about the same footprint, roughly 44 inches wide, so it fits the same 4-foot gate and path.
Can I get a mix of deluxe and standard units?
Mixed orders are common. Many hosts put deluxe units near the guests and standard units near the parking or staff area.
